18-3-2019· For a new surfacer, Comec 1000 or 1300. For used, a Berco, DCM or RMC. Another option is to convert the older surfacers of this style to a CBN milling Head. Almost all will use a sine plate and/or parallels to secure the head/block. A Winfield fixture can be added. I know some shops that have converted CNC bed mills for surfacing.

29.07.2015· I have a very smooth, clean head mating surface, straight from the machine shop. Engine block surface is pretty typical, needs some smoothing and cleaning. I am using a Fel Pro MLS gasket, and research says no sealant should be used on this gasket. I understand the 3M Roloc discs are recommended for surface prep also.
